The Power of Communication

The idea of friendships on the internet is slightly less weird, with numerous social networking websites, forums and other grounds to meet new people arising.

I have always been fond of making friends online, being able to identify with people around the world about things in common or share stories and opinions. To enlighten people on actual British culture and diminish stereotypes like how we all drink tea (although tea is a popular beverage) and say "Ello Ello Ello" whilst being taught about other cultures and countries.

Recently however a youtuber I genuinely adore, Miss Carrie Hope Fletcher, decided to make a forum to unite her 'hopefuls' in a place where we can bond and meet and help each other out and within days of making the forum I have to say it's amazing.

There are conversations from talking about Doctor Who, to helping people deal with mental disorders and triggering thoughts. The entire community is wonderful and kind, even a whole thread dedicated to complimenting or saying something nice about the person above you. But the help and support part of the forum reminds me how great it is to be a hopeful.

The power of communication is a great one.
